Social Media Do's and Dont's

Many organizations know the benefits social media can bring. Social media lets you and your business interact with your customers and provide them with useful information.

However, if you're not properly utilizing your social media accounts to the fullest, you're missing some big opportunities.

Angie Schottmuller of searchenginewatch.com wrote an excellent article about the 13 most common social media pitfalls. Many of these bad habits seem like commonsense, but are often overlooked.

For example, allowing your customers to comment on your sites seems like an obvious thing to do. However, many organizations require that you have an account to leave comments.

People don't want to have to create an account to comment on your content. Allowing users to comment without an account makes it easier for them but also provides you with feedback in the form of their comments.
